Over the coming two decades, Nakheel's landmark waterfront developments
in Dubai including The Palm Jumeirah, The Palm Deira and Dubai
Waterfront will add more than 40,000 new berths - cementing Dubai's
role as a world-renowned hub for luxury leisure boating in the Gulf.
Nakheel also confirmed that more than 60 per cent of its Marina
Residences project on The Palm Jumeirah had now been sold, with the
second phase now sold out and a third phase to be launched at the
Kuwait Boat Show, held from 21-25 April 2007. Marina Residences are the
first properties available to buy on The Palm Jumeirah in more than
four years.
Marina Residences is a flagship leisure boating development for
Nakheel based at the top of the trunk of The Palm Jumeirah and features
940 of the most exclusive and well-appointed marina homes in the
region. With an enviable and exclusive location, and with residents
receiving first refusal of one of 600 coveted yacht berths, they offer
a stunning base for yachting in the Gulf region.
Manal Shaheen, Nakheel Director - Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, said:
'The Kuwait Boat show is already proving to be a success attracting the highest calibre of exhibitors and visitors, who will number around 10,000 by the end of the week. We are very proud to have The Palm support the show as the diamond sponsor. There is a very good reason why we decided to become involved. Through innovative and iconic projects such as The Palm and The World in Dubai, Nakheel has become renowned throughout the world for our landmark waterfront developments."
